The Board

adam hurd

Adam Hurd, Managing Director

Adam Hurd is responsible for the overall performance of Concordia Health's services. Adam has an extensive background in business leadership, social marketing, medical research and specialist care. Adam has held senior positions in primary and secondary care within the NHS and the private sector. Adam was pivotal in the transformation of struggling GP practices, has successfully launched GP Led Health Centres and Urgent Care services across London, and has developed referral management and specialist care services to improve demand management across numerous localities. Adam works closely with the Board and Central Management Team to tailor services according the needs of each locality, and is highly experienced in the contractual framework of GMS, PMS and APMS.


toby hurd

Toby Hurd, Commercial Director

Toby has a background in mergers and acquisitions, consumer marketing, new product development and category management. Toby held senior management positions in mergers and acquisitions and marketing consultancy before joining Concordia as the Commercial Director. Toby's role covers the company's strategic development, particularly relationship building with Clinical Commissioning Groups, PCTs, secondary care stakeholders, pharmacy and out-of-hours organisations. Toby also handles most of the company's corporate and legal requirements.


simon fradd

Dr Simon Fradd, Non-Executive Director

Simon Fradd has 25 years experience as a GP. He is past deputy Chairman of the GPs' negotiating team of the British Medical Association which negotiated the new GP contract in 2004. He was a founder board member of the original Total Purchasing Pilot, Nottingham Non Fundholders. He founded the Doctor Patient Partnership. He is also a past member of the General Medical Council. He is currently Clinical Lead in the South Southwark Pathfinder Clinical Commissioning Group, and contributes to GP Commissioning representation across our organisation.


john chisholm

Dr John Chisholm CBE, Non-Executive Director

John Chisholm has a background in general practice, healthcare reform and the representation of doctors. He is a member of the Councils of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a past member of the General Medical Council, and has served on numerous professional and Government advisory bodies. Whilst Chairman of the BMA's General Practitioners Committee he led the negotiation of the new GP contract. His role in Concordia Health covers strategic business development, new business opportunities and governance.

Mick Davey, Operations Manager

Mick has been involved in the provision of healthcare for over 27 years. His primary role is to continuously improve the efficiency, control of services and quality assurance of our operations. He is responsible for maintaining our service level agreements and ensuring the highest standards of performance against mandated targets.

Sonia Hall, Clinical Manager

Sonia has extensive experience as a nurse practitioner along with demand management, walk-in and secondary care services. As Clinical Manager, Sonia supports the clinical team across all our sites, providing guidance and ensuring the right person is doing the right job for the best patient care.


paul-harvey

Paul Harvey, Marketing Manager

Paul has a design, digital and marketing agency background and responsible for all communication material for Concordia. He specialises in social marketing activities and works closely with third sector organisations within each practice's borough. Aligning the community's healthcare needs with NHS services, Paul's focus is on addressing health inequalities and assessing the most effective routes of communicating services to hard to reach groups. Paul's social marketing campaigns have attracted attention from the Department of Health, local MPs and have resulted in being nominated for three General Practice of the Year 2011 awards.


robert sandry

Robert J. Sandry, Human Resources Manager

Robert Sandry a Human Resources Generalist with over 18 years experience gained in progressive, labour-intensive multi-site organisations in the UK and Europe. He also served in the British Army for 15 years. Robert is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has day-to-day responsibilities for HR matters, acting to support managers and staff in their roles, and making sure the Company is acting as a best practice employer.

Ciaran O'Carroll, Director of Business Development

Ciaran is ACMA qualified with 22 years of NHS experience. His NHS experience spans Acute Hospitals, Mental Health Trusts, Community Trusts, PCTs and Primary Care. As Director of Business Development Ciaran has a track record of generating new sources of income and building and maintaining successful business relationships and partnerships. He is actively involved in a number of GP consortia and has a particular interest in collaborative working to develop innovative services for patients, with a focus on extending patient choice and moving services closer to home.


 

Jane Bacon, Group Business Manager

Jane has been involved in healthcare support services in both the primary and secondary care setting for over ten years, with particular emphasis on contract implementation, management and staff development. Prior to joining Concordia, Jane held senior roles covering general practice business management through to managed equipment services. She also played an active role in practice based commissioning and clinical commissioning development and represented Practice Managers within the Primary Care Research Network. Jane's role covers all aspects of commercial development at local level providing support to site management in all aspects of contract operation alongside the central management team.
